Hi, I’m Isabella. I am a third-year student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at the University of Northern Iowa. I am excited to start my counseling journey with Bijelic Counseling and am honored to be trusted by my clients to help them through their life journey. Through counseling, I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with my clients, guiding and supporting them as they share with me. My style is warm, collaborative, and strengths based. Through discussion and activities, I aim to equip my clients with skills and self-esteem to help them through all phases of their life.
I value a unified approach within counseling, creating a safe space for difficult conversations and directness within sessions. Recapping topics from previous sessions as well as updates. Exploring thoughts, feelings, relationships, behaviors, and concerns. Processing life experiences Identifying strengths and successes. Engaging in activities to build emotional intelligence. Collaborating on goals and strategies for in between sessions. Safety and empathetic listening.
