I have many years of experience working in telehealth and in-person. I recognize that these trying times are easier to handle with someone traveling alongside you. I have experience with a variety of psychological challenges that include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance-use, and life transitions. I have experience working with people of differing ethnic and racial groups and among those who identify as LGBTQ+. I also speak Spanish. I primarily use trauma-informed and skills-based approaches that include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I work as a Psychiatric RN and have an MSN as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
My approach is directive – I assist in collaborating with you as the expert of your own life experiences to make real change in both thought and behaviors. I provide both a safe and non-judgmental environment for you to enhance self-awareness and empower yourself with action steps toward desired goals.
