I saw the movie "Pay it Forward" when I was 14 & it changed my life. I knew when I saw the idea about helping 3 people, then those 3 people help 3 people each,& so on, that this is what I wanted to do with my life. I believe it's easy to get into a mindset that there is no way out or no help for our problems. Anyone can suffer from this type of thinking. I have a Bachelor's of Arts in psychology from Mississippi University for Women & a Master's of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Mississippi State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor #1977. I have done mission work & conference work with addictions. I also see several teens, young adults, military, & women- specific issues.
I have worked as an adolescent offender therapist at Community Counseling, an addictions therapist at Golden Triangle Recovery Center & Recovery House. I recently worked in private practice on the MS coast for 2 years mostly with teenagers/ young adults, addiction, & hosting group therapy- art, social skills, postpartum, parenting techniques, & anxiety.
