I specialize in children and adolescent therapy for young people aged 6 to 17 years old. My focus is helping children, pre-teens, and teens understand themselves in this BIG world. The caregivers I work with have all sorts of questions such as: “why does my child act this way?”, or “why do they react like this?”. Maybe feeling stuck or like a “bad parent”. Some children may experience events and/or ongoing hardships in their lives that impact their ability to cope. My mission is to help kiddos and families move forward in life with a sense of safety, connection, and empowerment to live a fulfilled life.
My therapy is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Play, play-based interventions including sand-tray and expressive art modalities.
