Be who you are! We all have an impetus toward meaning and joy. I help clients gain freedom from anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues in order to be at ease and present in your own life. My approach is collaborative, with a focus on challenging existing perceptions and creating new pathways of thought and action. With couples, I am interested in the way family-of-origin and neurodiversity inform reactions and behaviors. The goal is to see each other anew, enhance connectivity, solve problems, and cultivate more mutual kindness and teamwork. Your partner should be your best friend.
I believe in a whole person (mind/body) approach. The sessions are tailored to you, based on your goals. I love the way small steps create transformative impact in our lives. Modalities include: CBT, IFS, Mindfulness/visualization, and Integrated Couples. Aetna, Cigna, Spring Health, and Modern Health EAPs accepted.
I appreciate that it takes courage to share your feelings with a new person, and am happy to offer an initial 15 minute consult. I am married, a mom, and coach. Before I became a therapist, I was an English Professor, and wrote middle grade and young adult books. I believe that using our talents and living by our values brings us to authenticity and joy.
