Hello! Beginning therapy can be intimidating, but asking for help is such a great skill! I have been a therapist for over 10 years and currently specialize in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I also treat Tics and Tourettes, Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
My therapeutic technique varies based on your needs. I have received training on Exposure and Response Prevention through the Behavior Therapy Institute for OCD Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by the OCD Lived Collective. I believe that education is empowering and like to educate people I work with on their diagnosis and treatment.
My clients have described me as encouraging, supportive, easy to talk to, and knowledgeable. Talking about intrusive thoughts can be scary, though I will help to normalize your thoughts and won't judge you for them.
