Life is hard. Feelings are hard, and sometimes we don't understand where they are coming from or why, we might just be reacting. We may feel angry, hurt, sad, depressed, disappointed, anxious, or a mixture of these feelings. We might feel stuck in a loop, and feeling like we can't get out. Sometimes we may need some help sorting it all out, and to make sense of it all. My work with children and adults involves helping the client become aware of why we have feelings and what is the best way to express them. Feelings are okay! I use an eclectic approach to help clients begin to piece it all together.
I enjoy being creative in therapy by allowing clients find different ways of expressing themselves. I utilize the sand tray with a variety of different figurines to get sense of client's "inner world." I also will sometimes use a combination of other games, toys, and art activities to aid in emotional expression and to help with coping skills.
I believe every person can heal, and every person has it within themselves to heal. Sometimes they just might need some help! I am willing to go on this journey with you, and help you become the best version of you! I am here to listen, and I'm here to share in the struggle and the triumphs! I want you to know you are not alone!
