Finding the right "fit" for therapy is one of the most important tasks for a client. Therapy that is grounded in a positive therapeutic relationship works. I strive to help build this type of relationship with clients.
I take a practical but global approach to counseling. In the counseling process, it may be important to delve into past events to make sense of what occurred & how it impacts us However, it will be more important to eventually find ways to change how we think &/or behave to provide us with skills to make & maintain gains in therapy and after therapy ends.
I specialize in children, adolescents, & their families. I work with clients & families looking to find how best to interact, understand, & support themselves and/or a family member who may struggle with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, depression or is on the autism spectrum. I also have experience working with adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, &/or trauma.
