It is indeed rewarding to see personal growth throughout sessions as my clients gain control of areas in their life they were most vulnerable. My passion is helping my clients become successful individuals managing and coping with life stressors as they develop the necessary skills to do so. I provide opportunities for my clients, in a supportive atmosphere, to work through pressing issues by engaging in skilled activities that motivates and empowers clients to achieve their personal goals.
I conduct counseling for depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders with teens, young adults, adults, and families. I use various techniques and engaging activities in my sessions. I provide college and career counseling and I also work with immigrant families supporting their community needs.
My approach to therapy is to provide clients with the best possible experience in a supportive environment. Being present and understanding clients’ needs in the therapeutic process is important to me. I am compassionate, but yet honest in the therapeutic process. Groups
Virtual Teen Groups
Teen groups focus on building the necessary coping and socio-emotional skills to be successful managing self, peer relationships, and communicating effectively with adults. The emphasis is to create a safe space where teens can find support with other teens. It is a 6-week support group. Groups fall into the various categories : stress management, anxiety and depression, positive self-image, coping skills, conflict resolution and de-escalation.
