I have experience working with anxiety, stress, depression, grief, relationship challenges, racial identity, self-esteem, eating disorders, & attachment trauma.
I believe our unique identities and lived experiences inform our inner landscapes. Difficult emotions you may be feeling are often signals that highlight and parts of ourselves longing for connection, understanding, and attention. Together we will listen to these signals, build a safe haven for exploration, and create space for self-expression, openness, and growth. There’s a deep comfort that develops when we feel safe and supported; and this experience can be healing and transformative. Centering warmth and empathy, I embrace a collaborative, person-centered approach, while utilizing practical tools to best suit your needs.

I believe that our early relationships and experiences lay the foundation of how we view ourselves and relate to others. When you experience emotional neglect or relational trauma, it can be challenging to have a positive self-view. The therapeutic relationship invites you to mend relational wounds by learning how to understand and meet your own emotional needs. I primarily work with young adults and adults who are navigating interpersonal difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.

With the right support, healing from many things is possible. Whether it be trauma, depression, anxiety, infidelity recovery, or just struggling with day-to-day life. Perhaps you could benefit from a healthier self-image or need a relationship revival. In a supported and nurturing environment, all things can be explored and healing can be attained. Together, we can form a team to help address your personal goals. If your struggles involve another person, we can create an atmosphere to explore needs and wants while developing ways to convey and attain them constructively. Feeling alone is frustrating, but feeling supported is amazing

As a licensed clinical psychologist, my primary goal is to foster a safe, focused, and collaborative environment to help my patients understand themselves, their relationships, life/thought patterns and behaviors, in order to find healthy ways to manage and, ultimately, thrive. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is fundamental to this, and serves as a foundation for developing the insight to grow, as well as the coping strategies needed to tolerate discomfort and build new thought circuitry. I have a multi-theoretical training background, and I use this to tailor treatment to my patients individualized needs.

When working with children, teens, and adults, I strive to create a warm, safe environment while also acknowledging that therapy is hard and there will be tough, emotional moments. The journey to better mental health is worth it for the resilient, confident, happier version of you waiting on the other side. Therapy can help you in all aspects of your life–work, school, overall well-being–and foster strong, secure, close relationships with the people most important to you. I guide clients through challenges such as excessive worry, relationship issues, poor self-esteem, insecurity, lack of motivation, stress and life transitions.

Everything that happens to you happens to your body, and sometimes you need more than talk therapy. My clients who have worked with talk therapists have found somatic psychotherapy helped them to deepen their process by developing their sense of embodiment through somatic inquiry. My clients are intelligent, creative, successful professionals who secretly struggle with low self-esteem, relationship problems, anxiety/depression, and somatic dysregulation. Clients have reported feeling more confident, resilient and have learned how to improve their relationship with themselves, while creating better relations with others.

Though sometimes formidable, devoting space to articulate your concerns in a trusting environment is deeply rewarding work that brings dynamics and acceptance back into your life and tools of communication into your relationship.
At some point, the tools that we use to get through life can begin to fall short. Your reasons for considering therapy may be clearly or barely understood. You’d like to experience more agency and acceptance, make better sense of your life, and relate more honestly to the people that matter to you. If you’ve come looking for help with your partner, there is both a critical need and a deeply-seeded desire for things to improve between you, and the time has come for to invest in that outcome. You are struggling to function in your current phase of life, whether anew or for a long time now.

My areas of focus include working with a range of adults dealing with life transitions, relationship and identity issues, and families/individuals navigating cultural differences, infertility, and early parenthood.
If you find yourself struggling to navigate life in what feels like a messy, complicated, relentless world, reaching out for help can feel overwhelming. I strive to create a space where you can fully explore and process your thoughts, feelings and experiences, without judgement. I believe that therapy looks different for everyone, and it can even vary session to session. Most importantly, it is a collaborative process that works best when you feel truly seen and heard.

I also trained in IMAGO relationship therapy and have used IMAGO concepts to help individuals, couples and parents limit power struggles and lead more conscious, fulfilling lives.
I use IMAGO relationship therapy to help me work with you in both individual sessions as well as couple/group/parenting sessions. We all want to create more connected, healthier and loving relationships in our lives and together we can figure out your relationship patterns, the causes of conflict in your relationships, and ways to heal those parts of the self that are more difficult to access. Therapy can be an empowering way to increase flexibility in one's life and to improve well being at home and at work. My goal is to help you increase your flexibility and learn more effective ways to interact with others.

The idea of calling a therapist makes you uneasy, I know, but you are in distress about something, or many things, and you could use some help in understanding yourself better and working things through. I will work to create a safe space for us to explore the things that are contributing to your emotional pain or paralysis, depression or anxiety, relationship or work difficulties.

I work with adults and couples in short term and long term psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for a variety of issues such as life transitions, relationship problems, health concerns including cancer, depression and anxiety.
" There is no passion to be found playing small--in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living." Nelson Mandela. I work collaboratively with people to figure out what gets in the way of their personal and professional growth and satisfaction through psychotherapy and executive coaching. If you are in crisis , I can help you reestablish your equilibrium. If you feel stuck in your life from the same old thinking and feelings, I can help you find your way out, to discover something new in yourself so you can get on with your life in a more active, rewarding way.

In my practice symptoms are treated as an integral part of the individual's experience, and can be thought and spoken about in order to change one's painful relationship to them.
I consider psychotherapy to be a project between two people in which the goal is to understand both conscious and unconscious sources of emotional pain and ultimately open a space in which to alleviate suffering. The result is a very singular relationship that encourages multiple readings of itself and of all the relationships that have come before it. Through an understanding of feelings, relationships, and a deepening of inner and outer dialogue, we can enter a process of healing which leads to the shedding of old and destructive patterns.

I work with clients on a wide range of issues, including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, trauma, and grief and loss.
I aim to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space to empower both individuals and couples to explore growth and healing. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic and attachment theory, with a specific interest in how early relationships shape our emotional lives. I also place a strong emphasis on somatic theory and the body-mind connection in my work. I aim to empower clients to gain insight into their emotional patterns, heal past wounds, and cultivate more meaningful and satisfying relationships.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
