As a therapist, my approach is grounded in blending Internal Family Systems (IFS) understandings (includes psychodynamic and mindfulness practices) and somatic psychotherapy to increase aliveness, build meta-cognitive self-understanding, and promote self-regulation. This approach works with the whole person by addressing conflicts cognitively, emotionally and physically. Clients can gain greater awareness of old patterns of action and reaction, increased capacity to tolerate and resolve conflict or trauma and enhanced ability to experience pleasure.
The goal of this practice is for the temporary expansion and relaxation experienced in session to become one's general state of being in life.
