Child & adolescent counseling is therapy that focuses on children & teens. It provides aid to youths, who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems, trauma, bullying or stressful home environments. The goal of therapy is to break down problems into manageable parts, so children can better understand & cope with them.
Therapy for children/teens is designed to give them a safe space where they can be open about what they’re going through without fear of judgment or rejection. Even if they have a strong support system at home, their own fears may cause them not to share with a family member. Setting your child up with a trained therapist can help them work through this.
