Patricia received her Master of Science from Lee University in 2016. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of Tennessee. Patricia's counseling services are available via telehealth. Patricia is trained and experienced in trauma, grief, depression, anxiety and simply adjusting to life. Her treatment model is trauma-informed and integrative psychotherapy including clinical training in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Level 1 Complex Trauma Treatment Professional Training, current training telehealth trauma certification.

One of the scariest parts of therapy is the unknown. Our fear of therapy focuses on what we will have to say, the things we will have to feel but rarely when we think of therapy do we focus on the things we may find within ourselves. Like the courage to speak power to our own voice. The reality that we are not the sum of the worst things that have happened to us. Hell, maybe that we have always been valuable and we never deserved the way we were treated, the hurt we were given or the hurt that is still present within us. All three dimensions of the attachment injury are traumatized. The aftermath of discovery/disclosure induces symptoms that impact psysiological responses to the mind, body.The treatment protocol for sexual addiction induced trauma I practice is EMDR, as well as 2 day Intensives. Practicing SEP,we are able to get to wounds of how the body holds the trauma/ attachment injury, using an integrative trauma model.Emotionally Focused Therapy allows helping couples to get to their deepest needs/hurt/rejection/ and betrayal.
