Problem gambling is one of the most hidden addictions in the U.S. due to the shame and stigma associated with gambling problems. Many people still mistake problem gambling for a moral problem or simply see it as poor choice making, rather than understanding the complex brain hijacking that problem gambling is for some people who can’t quit. Several neurotransmitters including dopamine, serotonin, glutamate, opioids, to name a few, are acting simultaneously on the brain during problem gambling.
In a highly confidential setting, whether in-person or via tele-therapy, our Gambling Treatment Program offers a specialized comprehensive approach for gamblers who are struggling with a gambling problem, their partners, and their families. We also treat the co-occurring mental illness and/or substance abuse problems that often go with a gambling problem.
Our staff is trained, experienced, and nationally certified in gambling treatment and our gambling treatment program. Our Gambling Treatment Program is unique in the United States, because it is offered with a mindfully-oriented and multi-cultural orientation. Financial support for treatment services is available if you are a resident of New Mexico.

Integrity Recovery
Integrity Recovery Group is a cognitive behavioral group therapy method used to enhance self awareness, balance and connection working from The Evolution Group’s Integrity Workbook with a focus on recovery. The goal of the group is to facilitate self-discovery, honesty, and integrity in the recovery process. Clients complete and present exercises from the book in the group setting. The goal is to restore balance by working out of the IT Recovery Workbook and giving presentations in a supportive environment.

Mindfulness Mood Regulation
Group therapy for negative mood management structured in a cognitive behavioral format with a focus on managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger, and other negative mood. The focus is on understanding that such feelings are a normal part of being human, and that we all have options for bringing mood into balance and choosing how to keep such symptoms from prompting unhealthy behaviors.
