Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a comprehensive cognitive behavioral treatment. Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others. This treatment focuses on problem solving and acceptance-based strategies. Our certified DBT therapists offer acceptance and support to people in therapy, and they work to develop techniques for achieving goals, improving well-being, and effecting lasting positive change. The patient and therapist work to resolve the contradiction between self-acceptance and change to bring about positive changes in the patient.
