Medication-assisted treatment, which is commonly referred to as MAT, is a dynamic approach to opioid addiction treatment for adults. MAT incorporates prescription medications to help people stop using opioids and therapy to help them build a foundation for lifelong recovery. The medications that are authorized for use in MAT programs in the U.S. have been closely studied for several years, and they have documented histories of safety and effectiveness. These medications can ease the cravings and other distressing symptoms of opioid withdrawal, which can make it easier for people to end their opioid use. However, medication alone cannot address the behavioral, psychological, and social aspects of opioid addiction and recovery. This is why counseling is such an integral part of the MAT experience. During counseling sessions, adults can identify the events and circumstances that may threaten to undermine their recovery. They can also develop skills in important areas such as conflict resolution and stress management. These new capabilities can empower them to respond to difficult situations in a healthier manner without resorting to opioid abuse or other self-defeating behaviors.

HCRC Attleboro is an outpatient methadone treatment facility conveniently located on the Massachusetts & Rhode Island Line. We are open 7 days a week, specializing in medication-assisted treatment with Methadone Maintenance for people with opioid use disorder. HCRC Attleboro helps people with opioid addiction address both the physical and psychological components of the disease. Southcoast Behavioral Health offers a clinically excellent inpatient program for adults age 18 and older who have mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. We treat mental health concerns like anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. In addition, we provide care for adults who are suffering from co-occurring addictions to substances like alcohol, benzodiazepines, heroin, and prescription painkillers. In our inpatient program, our goal is to help patients who are experiencing mental health crises stabilize so that they can return home or step down to a lower level of care. Patients in our adult inpatient program stay with us on average for five to seven days, though the exact length of stay depends on their progress and needs. Our patients can benefit from the collective experience of our care team, which includes physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, and clinicians.

Located in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, Southcoast Behavioral Health is a premier provider of inpatient treatment for children and adolescents ages 5-17. Our expert staff provides care for young people who are struggling with mental health concerns like depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), psychosis, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. In our adolescent inpatient program, we can help young people who are experiencing mental health crises stabilize so that they can step down to a lower level of care or return home. While in our inpatient unit, children and adolescents can receive focused care in a safe setting so that they can regain a sense of security and well-being. Our multidisciplinary staff provides evidence-based, patient-centered treatments such as motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. The typical length of stay in our adolescent inpatient program is around five to seven days, though the actual time each person spends in our care depends on their needs.

With extensive experience working in the substance use disorder field, Northeast Addictions Treatment Center (NEATC) knows the difference between average treatment and excellence in treatment. While most addiction centers provide clinical therapy as well as medical assistance, the length of stay does not provide the time needed to uncover the underlying causes and conditions of substance use disorder. TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is an FDA approved treatment for adults who suffer from major depressive disorder and who have failed to find relief from anti-depressants. It is an office procedure where magnetic pulses target the prefrontal cortex of the brain. Most patients require 20 to 30 treatments to emerge from depression, over 4 to 6 weeks. The treatment lasts about 20 minutes, has few side effects, and patients can resume their normal day going to work, to school, etc. Unlike medication, TMS has very few side effects.
