NeuStart Psychiatry strives to provide full comprehensive psychiatric services to all ages. We specialize in the revolutionary and medication-free outpatient psychiatry treatment known as TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) for treatment of Depression and Obsessive Compulsive (OCD) disorders. TMS is also being researched to treat other psychiatric disorders and has shown upcoming promise as medication free, symptom free addictions treatment. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a well-established, FDA cleared option for people suffering from treatment-resistant disorders such as OCD and Major Depressive Disorder. TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate a specific area in the brain in order to improve OCD symptoms in patients. It is non-invasive, requires no anesthesia, and is shock-free. It is an out-patient procedure with no systemic side effects. The treatment specifically targets the networks in the brain which are known to be particularly affected by OCD, including the deeper-lying structures.
