In my practice I use a person-centred approach, ensuring that I allow us to know each other and provide an environment that allows you to feel free to share, knowing that you are not judged and all conversations are treated with confidentiality. Through attentive listening, I aim to first establish where you are as a client. We would then look at what the presenting problem is and guide you through to acknowledge how you have contributed to the situation you are in. We look into what your expectations of the session are and work through a treatment plan to ensure your expectations can be met.
The treatment plan will be agreed upon, we enter into a contract and deliberate one-on-one on issues. We prioritise these issues and you are given homework so that you can start working on the issues at hand. We will agree on the timeline of doing your homework and adherence.
Dealing with issues of the mind & behaviour may not always be easy or comfortable. It is often hard to take that first step of seeking & accepting help, but the fact that you are here, means you have done that. This is true whether you are an individual, a couple or an organisation. I provide a safe environment, so that together, we can take the next step.
