My passion is assisting families that are going through challenging times. Sometimes just a different viewpoint can bring healing, at other times a more concerted effort is required between the parties. Family challenges can include marital strife, sibling issues, parent-child relationships, and also external influences that cause problems between family members. Other areas I also work in are bereavement counselling, and care of the elderly.
As well as being a Christian counsellor, I am a NABFAM accredited family and divorce mediator. This gives me the advantage of being able to bring multiple skills to the counselling room which helps my clients resolve their issues, and learn new skills that will help them avoid further issues, or be able to resolve them without further intervention.
Mental health is as important as physical health, and can even affect physical health if not looked after. My role as Christian counsellor is to help clients find meaning and purpose through the challenges they face.
