Republished on Wednesday, 26th July 2017: We're bringing this review back from the archives following the announcement of August 2017's PlayStation Plus lineup. The original text follows. Just Cause 3 can be best described as a catalyst for fun. The huge array of tools at your disposal, the sheer size of the...

Just Cause 3 News
News PS4 Pro Boost Mode Makes Just Cause 3's Frame Rate Slightly Less Shite
But it's still far from perfect
Just Cause 3, for all of its fun, free-form chaos, runs like garbage on a standard PlayStation 4. Even with no action on screen, the game still loves to drop frames, resulting in an especially shoddy experience. Given its particularly poor performance, many have been wondering whether the PS4 Pro's Boost Mode can help...
News Just Cause 3 Is Borderline Broken on PS4 Right Now
FYI
We'd heard anecdotally that Just Cause 3's latest patch made its framerate that little bit worse, but nothing could have prepared us for footage of the foray in action. This clip – captured directly from a PlayStation 4 using the share button – shows just how dire the destructive adventure is these days, as the title practically...
News Just Cause 3's Second DLC Will Mech a Mess on PS4
Rico machina
Just Cause 3 [Remember that game? – Ed] is getting mech DLC for reasons that can probably be surmised as: a bunch of Swedish people thought that it was a cool idea. Part of the obnoxiously named Air, Land, and Sea season pass, subscribers will get access from 3rd June, while peasants will have to wait until 10th June to cough up their...
News Just Cause 3's New Sky Fortress DLC Looks Suitably Insane
There is a castle on a cloud
The first DLC in Just Cause 3's Season Pass, Sky Fortress, has been announced via an explosive trailer on YouTube. The add-on launches in March (a week earlier for Season Pass holders) and – according to Square Enix – adds three to four hours of new gameplay thanks to a slew of new missions and challenges. More...
News You've Just Got to See Just Cause 3's Crazy Japanese Ad
Learn to fly
Just Cause 3 got some pretty standard trailers and adverts here in the West, but once again, the Land of the Rising Sun has sprinkled its own trademark madness onto the game's Japanese marketing campaign. This has resulted in a 60 second ad in which a woman glides around a city to meet up with her friends - and it's honestly much better...
Hands On Has Just Cause 3 on PS4 Blown Us Away?
Where does he get those wonderful toys?
The Just Cause series has always done insane spectacle better than anyone, but with Avalanche Studios having already gone pretty much as big as you can go in Rico Rodriguez's first two outings, how do you up the ante yet again? Based on the first few hours playing Just Cause 3 the answer appears to be: you...
News It Sounds Like You'll Need Just Cause 3's Day One Patch on PS4
Thankfully it's not huge
Just Cause 3 is out there in the hands of the public right now, five days before its official launch date. This is due to some retailers breaking the rules, which in itself is a bit crap, but at the same time, it means that details on the game's day one patch have been outed. VG24/7 have gone ahead and posted the update...
News 60 Minutes of Just Cause 3 Gameplay Tells You Everything You Need to Know
Boomtown
Just Cause 3 is the one game that we're waiting on before we begin our Game of the Year coverage here at Push Square. Rico Rodriguez's latest explosion filled escapade is undoubtedly going to be a fun ride - but if you're not entirely sold on this particular brand of sandbox madness, we'd suggest watching the video that we've embedded...
News Just Cause 3 Is the One Game That Doesn't Really Need a CG Trailer
You can do all this in the game anyway
Strikes us as a bit weird, this: Just Cause 3 has a new trailer, and most of it is CG. Now, we're not totally against CG trailers - they can be downright stunning when done right - but let's face it: Just Cause 3 certainly isn't the type of game that needs one. Rico Rodriguez's latest adventure is already...

We can't wait to burn it to the ground
It feels good to welcome back Rico Rodriguez – a regime change specialist extraordinaire with a grapple, an attitude, and a huge arsenal of destructive possibilities which will be unleashed on the PlayStation 4 in December. Just Cause 3 is a game that we've have been anticipating ever since finishing 2010's...

This game is poorly optimized. I cant simply enjoy playing this game on my PS4 due to constant frame drops and long load times. The company who made this should be ashamed for releasing a game in this state and now even addressing the issues. They keep putting this game on sale making it look like a bargain but in reality this game is a mess. This game has good potential to be a beautiful game with good graphics and story but it fails to deliver. I would not recommend anyone to buy this game on any consoles. Please check out the videos on youtube to see issues this game really has.
