Undergraduate research

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme offers students from all disciplines the chance to gain hands-on research experience through paid summer placements with research projects across the University.

Global partnerships

The University's Global Engagement Strategy includes a commitment to growing partnerships with universities and organisations around the world, including NUIST in China.

Times Higher Education Awards 2022

Two teams from the University received prestigious awards at the Times Higher Education Awards 2022. Senior lab technician Hong Lin was named outstanding technician of the year, and research to cut carbon emissions from transatlantic aircraft was named best science project of 2022.

Teaching excellence

We are proud that a growing number of our staff have been awarded National Teaching Fellowships in recognition of their impact on student outcomes and contribution to the teaching profession in higher education.
