Craig Zisk

Craig Zisk is a veteran producer and director with an extensive resume of television work since the 1990s. After starting out as a production assistant on the hit sitcom "Family Ties," he earned producing credits on such programs as "Brooklyn Bridge" and "Cop Rock," and eventually landed his first co-executive producer credit on the mid-'90s sitcom "The Single Guy." Beginning in '98, Zisk served in a producing capacity on the critically-acclaimed cable comedy "The Larry Sanders Show," his first real taste of producing success. As for his directing career, it began with an episode of "Brooklyn Bridge" followed by more than a dozen episodes of "The Single Guy." The opportunity to helm more television shows followed, and Zisk directed countless episodes of comedies and dramas between the late '90s and 2000s, including about one episode per-year on average of "Nip/Tuck" between 2003 and 2010. In 2005, he directed an episode of the comedy "Weeds," about a struggling single mother who gets into the marijuana-selling business to support her family. He eventually served as producer of the show as well, helming 20 episodes between '05 and '08, and earning his first Emmy nod for Outstanding Directing for a 2006 episode. During the early 2010s, Zisk worked mostly in cable comedies, executive producing and directing episodes of "United States of Tara" and "The Big C."
