Though Goofy always means well, his amiable cluelessness and klutzy pratfalls regularly embarrass his awkward adolescent son, Max. When Max's lighthearted prank on his high-school principal finally gets his longtime crush, Roxanne, to notice him, he asks her on a date. Max's trouble at school convinces Goofy that he and the boy need to bond over a cross-country fishing trip like the one he took with his dad when he was Max's age, which throws a kink in his son's plans to impress Roxanne. Dale R Disney’s television division’s second theatrical release, and third overall movie, is based off of the Goof Troop television series. This movie finds Goofy and his son Max at odds about going on a fishing trip together. Any reservations you might have about watching a movie with Goofy as one of the leads need to be put aside. This is a great father-son movie! Not only that, but the music is amazing and serves the narrative and character development really well. I would put the music in this movie in the same category with Dumbo and most of the Renaissance movies as one of the better song collections in Disney history. I highly recommend this movie, go check it out! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Audience Member The absolute most goofy movie I ever seen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/25/24 Full Review Chael B (A majority of) The comedy sticks, even today. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/16/24 Full Review Fan of v Boy, this sure is a GOOFY MOVIE, not only because of its wackiness, but also the fact it has substance! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/12/24 Full Review Jay N Underrated! It may be nostalgia blindness on my part, but this movie is really great! It still makes me laugh over 20 years later Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/11/24 Full Review Ariel V A good movie for a Father and Son. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/24 Full Review Read all reviews
