While it's almost certainly the movie event of the year for filmgoers passionate about deer urine humor, Grown Ups 2 will bore, annoy, and disgust audiences of nearly every other persuasion.

Drew Hunt Chicago Reader Sandler's films have always been stupid, but the early stuff is pretty harmless; here the jokes almost always come at the expense of someone else, the kind of needless bullying one expects of a YouTube comment section. Jul 28, 2014 Full Review Simon Crook Empire Magazine [A] slothful, indulgent sequel that sees a once-great screen comedian hit self-inflicted Sandlergeddon. Rated: 1/5 Jul 28, 2014 Full Review Jake Wilson Sydney Morning Herald Rob Schneider, the butt of many jokes in the first Grown-Ups, is nowhere to be seen. Salma Hayek, as Lenny's wife, looks understandably tense and irritable throughout. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 28, 2014 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz However, strip away the rare moments of humility and championing of small town life and you're left with what is simply a series of sexist and scatological vignettes... Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 7, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies This film incited more facepalms and head-shakes than laughs, and the script feels like something Sandler could have scribbled on the palm of his hand. Rated: 0.5/5 Aug 21, 2022 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Grown Ups 2 won't please a good majority of the film critics, but it's not a film for the film critics. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/17/24 Full Review Wyatt E Not as good as the first one, but still a good flick with lots of laughs. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/13/24 Full Review Laze T Just as good as One people, happy that the grown up movies are now getting the respect it deserves Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/18/24 Full Review Audience Member this movie is great, the critics are dumb Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Ben K This movie is stupid, just like most Adam Sandler movies. But just like most Adam Sandler movies, Grown Ups 2 is 100% worth the watch. The movie doesn’t take itself seriously, which makes it even better. The script could be better in a lot of places, but doesn’t stop this from being hilarious. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/03/24 Full Review Will S The start was a bit off, it felt like the film was going to be very artificial but it soon settled in and the story was a good laugh and humbling. Gave me plenty of giggles! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
