The Grimm fairy tale gets a Technicolor treatment in Disney's first animated feature. Jealous of Snow White's beauty, the wicked queen orders the murder of her innocent stepdaughter, but later discovers that Snow White is still alive and hiding in a cottage with seven friendly little miners. Respect's due for the classic it is, being Disney's first feature length movie and a testament of prowess for its era. Unfortunately this rather short fairy tale is filled with a lot of scenes irrelevant to the plot and non-existent in the version the Grimm brothers recorded. But still, some of this filling is a nice addition to the story and gives it more weight. And here at least Disney didn't change main plot aspects from the original tale as much unlike to other films his company will produce later.
