I found the film to be a good mix of horror and reality. The characters need for $ and consequent shady job opportunity are all too real. Always thought weed farms would be a scary place to work! Little did I anticipate how scary! Well filmed with a great storyline.

Trim Season fails to build the necessary intrigue to engage viewers with its story and make it, if not captivating, at least credible or interesting. Simply integrating modern-day trendy elements like cannabis trimming with well-intentioned social commentary that remains superficial or overly metaphorical proves insufficient. By the time these flaws become evident, it's too late to rescue the film from being perceived as boring, shallow, unrealistic, and superficial.

I watched Trim Season solely for Alex Essoa, but Beth Million also shines. But I cannot say the same thing for the movie, which started as a classic slasher and ended as out of context. Lack of transition is the biggest problem.

Gave it a crack but couldn't make it past halfway. Awful acting. Confusing story line. Was the segment highlighting the characters pronouns relevant to the story, no. I did enjoy eventually seeing why the old girl wore gloves. 2/10. Utter shite.
