This drama series follows members of Austin's 126 Fire Department led by Capt. Owen Strand who, along with his adult son, T.K., move to Texas to help rebuild the firehouse which had experienced a tragedy of its own. His team of diverse and qualified first responders include widowed Paramedic Capt. Tommy Vega, Judd Ryder, who was the sole survivor of Austin's original 126 house after a rescue call ended in tragedy; Marjan Marwani, an adrenaline junkie and badass firefighter who also is a devout Muslim; Paul Strickland, a transgender male firefighter, who has a gift for observation worthy of Sherlock Holmes; and rookie firefighter Mateo Chavez.

Those elements are decent enough and 911: Lone Star is still primarily a fun/thrilling escape. I was most amused by the way it uses Lowe, an actor who has become iconic both for his handsomeness and his awareness of his own handsomeness.

I love it… I had been sleeping on it but it's actually so funny and gripping at the same time even though obviously some of the moments are so wack but it's so unexpected that it makes me laugh and also enjoy the originality of the moments like the skincare routine, the Karen call, the baby in the tree. I am so glad there are more seasons I can watch since I'm so late!

This show has potential. First thing is the characters. That's why you keep watching. The fire calls get repetitive, the formula was just too basic. Something happens, then something els happens trying to fix the first thing. That got old fast. Very smart to have people involved in other areas such as police and medic. Let's you breath from the non stop fire. A show with a lot of heart!

Just started watching this series but not sure if I will continue. Reason is mainly the boring Liv Tyler and the annoying way she delivers her dialogues. There are other much better actresses out there to portray the paramedic head. All other actors in the show are ok.
