This drama series follows members of Austin's 126 Fire Department led by Capt. Owen Strand who, along with his adult son, T.K., move to Texas to help rebuild the firehouse which had experienced a tragedy of its own. His team of diverse and qualified first responders include widowed Paramedic Capt. Tommy Vega, Judd Ryder, who was the sole survivor of Austin's original 126 house after a rescue call ended in tragedy; Marjan Marwani, an adrenaline junkie and badass firefighter who also is a devout Muslim; Paul Strickland, a transgender male firefighter, who has a gift for observation worthy of Sherlock Holmes; and rookie firefighter Mateo Chavez. What to Know

Critics Consensus

If not as outlandishly fun as its predecessor, 9-1-1: Lone Star still packs an entertaining punch and is a great showcase for the handsomely self-aware Rob Lowe.

Robert Rorke New York Post With his bronzed physique and chiseled chin, [Rob] Lowe looks like he's doing an infomercial, not playing a character. Jan 21, 2020 Full Review Daniel Fienberg Hollywood Reporter Those elements are decent enough and 911: Lone Star is still primarily a fun/thrilling escape. I was most amused by the way it uses Lowe, an actor who has become iconic both for his handsomeness and his awareness of his own handsomeness. Jan 20, 2020 Full Review Kelly Lawler USA Today Owen has many shades of Lowe's "Parks and Recreation" character Chris Traeger, obsessed with his physical appearance and holistic health, and it's welcome to see Lowe talk about fish oil supplements with such panache again. Rated: 3/4 Jan 20, 2020 Full Review Kate Robertson Stuff.co.nz Who doesn't love a bit of Rob Lowe? Nobody. That is the only correct answer. Oct 22, 2021 Full Review Tara Ariano Primetimer I'm not saying I want to see someone half-crushed by a food truck or having a psychotic break in front of the animatronic LBJ, but I wouldn't be mad about it if I did. Apr 19, 2021 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Sensitive first responder spin-off has violence, innuendo. Rated: 3/5 Feb 7, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Jennifer H We really enjoy watching the series! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/08/24 Full Review Sha T I love it… I had been sleeping on it but it's actually so funny and gripping at the same time even though obviously some of the moments are so wack but it's so unexpected that it makes me laugh and also enjoy the originality of the moments like the skincare routine, the Karen call, the baby in the tree. I am so glad there are more seasons I can watch since I'm so late! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Carina M This show feels to force, it all over the place. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/26/23 Full Review Denis This show has potential. First thing is the characters. That's why you keep watching. The fire calls get repetitive, the formula was just too basic. Something happens, then something els happens trying to fix the first thing. That got old fast. Very smart to have people involved in other areas such as police and medic. Let's you breath from the non stop fire. A show with a lot of heart! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Patty U Such a great show! Love all the characters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Bobby F Just started watching this series but not sure if I will continue. Reason is mainly the boring Liv Tyler and the annoying way she delivers her dialogues. There are other much better actresses out there to portray the paramedic head. All other actors in the show are ok. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
