FBoy Island's salacious hook may sate the curiosity of reality show junkies, but this tropical getaway eventually curdles into another rote pageant of bad behavior.

Melanie McFarland Salon.com All of these series invite audiences to view the observer effect in action, noticing the subjects' behavior changing before our very eyes to suit the perceived requirement that we be entertained. FBoy Island reduces this concept to a strange candy. Jul 30, 2021 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine FBoy Island is not trying to be anything more than a sudsy summer distraction. And by that metric, it's a masterpiece. Jul 30, 2021 Full Review Alessa Dominguez BuzzFeed News As FBoy Island progresses, it becomes more like a traditional dating show, and the exchanges between the women and the newly categorized guys get even more tepid. Jul 30, 2021 Full Review Alison Lanier Pajiba This show is truly the debris of reality television at its finest and most absurd, burgeoning into gleeful self-parody as absolute nonsense piles high on screen. Jul 27, 2022 Full Review Erin Maxwell L.A. Weekly If watching simpletons attempt to take advantage of women is your cup of tea, then good news: someone at HBO Max read your diary and made Fboy Island just for you. Sep 25, 2021 Full Review Lea Palmieri Decider It's the summer binge-watch we deserve. Sep 2, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Z This show is not worth the watch. Probably one of the worst dating related reality shows… Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Joey B Who do I feel the most sorry for in this entire season of F-boy Island? Let me think… the viewers. They were all acting, most of the people on this show already seemed pretty set up in life. No one needed money. On top of that, all the improved dialog went nowhere, and there was no backlash about the expects giving away the f-boy's money to charity at the end at all. Not even in the aftermath. I work for fund advertising company for charities, and trust me, most people with money get fuss about donating just $25 a month to wounded animals. Let's just be real, this show is a hoax. I consider myself a nice guy, which is why I finally decided to watch F-boy Island, (after an entire year of scrolling past it on HBO Max), I just wanted to see the truth of why I always finish last in all my relationships. I've even lowered my standards with woman over the years, giving a wider variety a chance not judging on shape, size, or color. Still, they choose the bad guy every time. Yes, I tried playing the bad guy a few times, but even that can only get me so far. Sooner or later my nice guy tendencies will kick in and who I really am is revealed as not attractive. This show played no part in restoring any such hope. It had a bias narrative the entire time leaning only on the perspective of the woman and F-boys in the house. Half the cast stayed out the way of the entire season because too many muscle heads were competing for the cameras. It just wasn't directed or written fairly at all. Even if was all fake or whatever, at least make fairer rules, too much testosterone coming at these women early on was a little much and it turned out being really childish moving forward after that. Clearly the executives knew who their leads were, twist fell perfectly on beloved characters, as well as favored characters returning, it was all set up. The dialogs went nowhere, and the prize money was fake. It's not that these girls were really nice people or anything either, they all single handed pledged a f-boy from the very beginning and that was literally all they wanted. Having sex with different people two nights in a role only proves these women were f-bunnies themselves,(all except for one). Regardless, I feel like I wasted my time with this show. Hopefully the new owners of HBO don't green-lit another season or anything, because this show was trash. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/26/22 Full Review Audience Member Never ever left a review here. But for this show I had to write. That was far the worse show I have ever seen in my entire life. Do not lose your precious time! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Water of time. The people say the same thing over and over again. They all talk about breaking down walls and being vulnerable, without having one conversation of substance that actually shows how they do that. Literally they don't talk about anything else and then expect an audience to believe these are genuine emotional connections. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Dumb, dumb, dumb. The show. The actors. The viewers. Dumb. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I cannot believe there are people both dumb and vapid enough to watch this trash roaming freely in the world. Perhaps the majority of reviews are from mental patients and convicts watching through a piece of scratched bullet proof plex. We could raise the world IQ by 50% and cure world hunger if someone would add a seizure inducing subliminal track to these "Made for Trash" shows.
