Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) With Lee Pace and Jared Harris as adversaries, the show mostly manages to tie together personal stakes and planet-hopping history in a way that sci-fi aficionados will enjoy. Jul 14, 2023 Full Review James Jackson Times (UK) It’s impressively imaginative. Jul 14, 2023 Full Review Helen O'Hara Empire Magazine It’s not always easy – except on the eyes, thanks to that extraordinary design – but this is sci-fi that’s worth putting the time in for. Rated: 4/5 Jul 14, 2023 Full Review Terence Johnson Le Noir Auteur Long considered a novel that was unfilmable, show runner David S. Goyer has done an incredible job of leading this production to the screen. Sep 15, 2023 Full Review Jorge Loser Espinof Except perhaps Battlestar Galactica, rarely have we seen such a complex and well-built world to tell us something so dense and full of ramifications. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 4.5/5 Sep 1, 2023 Full Review William Schwartz Book & Film Globe Foundation thrives by keeping its worldbuilding constantly on the edge of creeping doom, a grim sentiment that certainly feels historical, even if it’s not necessarily psychohistorical. Thorvald F Don't believe in what others are writing: This series has been nothing else but one gigantic mess made by a bunch of writers completely addicted to crack pipes. The story is loosely based on the book by Isaac Asimov (I write loosely with a big L, because the plot is as loose as someone's kiki after giving birth to sextuplets), but the rest is taken from various sci-fi series left right centre. Then all the sudden, Hari Seldon, who was supposedly dead, is still very much alive after swallowing tons of nanobots (even the best OF actors can't even keep up with all that swallowing), suddenly ends up having multiple versions of himself in the Prime Radiant, and one of these versions conveniently comes back to life on a planet by a mathematician woman long dead, that happens to be semi-dead? Who does she think she is? Annabelle? Mother effing Theresa? Shangela in Season 2 and 3? Let's not talk about Queen Sareth, or should I call her, Miss Cuntgeniality. I had to control myself to not vomit after each episode, since the later episodes of Season 2 were so much worse than the previous ones. Never have I watched a series where I prayed for every single character to simply disappear. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/15/24 Full Review Ramzi J Immersive, imaginative, and exhilarating. While the first season may require some patience, you will feel well rewarded by the end of the second one as the script, acting, character development, and visual storytelling come together maturely. One might say that all of the aforementioned qualities tangibly level up from season one, but one might also argue that this is more of a product of the story's progression. Either way, the creative choices made by the creators of the show adaptation are fantastic and merited. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/21/24 Full Review TIMOTHY H Foundation is a great Sci fi show written and acted by the great team. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/18/24 Full Review Michael M This show is great! I liked the first season well enough, but season 2 is better in every way. It looks like most of the haters are Assimov purists that are letting their biases get in the way. Ignore their reviews. The average sci-fi fan will love this!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review George M it's not Asimov's Foundation, so 1 star. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review John B What fantastic production. Everything balanced with great writing, great casting, and great set production without overusing CGI. This is the best series I've caught this year and I think a great tribute to Isaac Asimov. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
