Guest stars are plentiful throughout, from Ellen Barkin and Adrien Brody to Luis Guzmán and Chloë Sevigny. Nick Hilton Independent (UK) As a reinvention of the hour-long mystery story, it manages reverence to its forebears with the challenge of delivering a distinctive new twist. Rated: 4/5 May 30, 2023 Full Review Ed Power Daily Telegraph (UK) It’s gripping, grisly when it needs to be, and Lyonne is charm on a stick. Rated: 4/5 May 26, 2023 Full Review Lucy Mangan Guardian A good time – especially if you take it in single doses so your credulity doesn’t risk being overstretched – is there to be had. Rated: 3/5 May 26, 2023 Full Review Joonatan Itkonen Toisto.net It’s the best series on streaming right now, and considering what a stacked year of amazing shows we’ve had, that’s saying something. Rated: 5/5 Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Robert W. Butler Butler's Cinema Scene Poker Face employs creative storytelling (just about every episode has an extended flashback to show us how we got to where we are) and the repartee from Lyonne is often screamingly droll. Dec 28, 2023 Full Review Akhil Arora AkhilArora.com Our beloved deconstructor of whodunnits—Rian Johnson—set the stage for this howdunnit, with a woman with an uncanny ability landing herself in bizarre situations week after week. (Or did the situation find her?) Dec 22, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

B C This show is good. Natasha Lyonne is awesome. After helping Disney ruin Star Wars it’s nice to see Rian Johnson rebounded with this show. Offense meant. I’m salty over the sequel trilogy. Can you tell? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/11/24 Full Review sofia g I need *some*mystery. There is nothing mysterious about this show, no whodunnit or whydunnit at all, and in the cases in which you don't get all the "answers"laid out from the start, you don't get any at all. Like in the episode on the mountain, we don't get any information about what happened to her lover, or why the killer did what he did, and what exactly happened. Extremely unsatisfying. The only redeemable quality in this show is the acting. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/23/24 Full Review Joseph B Natasha Lyonne is outstanding and the mysteries, with a couple of exceptions, are very good. The guest stars, especially Chloe Sevigny and Judith Light, are generally excellent. The main problem I have with this show is the egregious level of profanity. It's almost as if they're trying to win a contest. Most of it comes from Lyonne herself, and it detracts quite a bit from her otherwise inspired performances. I know they're just trying to get your attention but at some point you would think they'd have enough confidence in the writing and the performances that they could drop this sort of high-school obsession with the F word. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Nick S Great new take on the murder mystery type of show with an original primary character. The acting from the guest actors is phenomenal which makes it a unique tv show who can rely on different secondary characters each episode without it being messy. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/24 Full Review Paul D First couple of episodes were really good and then it sort of died out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/24 Full Review Gen H This series is so good. Natasha Lyonne is fantastic in this series and is able to adapt to so many different situations and new episode characters. Each episode is a unique and compelling whodunnit situation with amazing guest actors. Such a good watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review Read all reviews
