Rated 4.5/5 Stars •  Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/28/24 Full Review Audience Member I wasn't very familiar with Tom Holland aside from his Spider-man movies but after seeing The Crowded Room, I will seek out and watch anything he's in. I am shocked by the low critic rating and lack of awards recognition for this show. I can only think that people had the wrong impression going into it - this is not a crime thriller and the "twist" isn't really the point. The show doesn't really hide its "twists" from the get-go, most people will figure it out pretty early on; it's about seeing Danny discover it and come to terms with it. I already knew what it was before watching and it didn't detract from the experience in any way. Getting to learn about a character through the actions of other characters is so cool and Tom managed to play the epilogue especially well considering he had to integrate a lot of characteristics into one without losing the essence of the Danny we grew to care about. My only real critique is that the language is a bit anachronistic for the 70s but, since I wasn't around back then, I could easily ignore it. Watch it!
