Last week, Samsung had released the February 2022 security update to the international variants in the Galaxy S10 series. Now, US network carriers have started releasing the new security update to the carrier-locked versions of the phones.
The newest software update for the carrier-locked Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and the Galaxy S10+ comes with firmware version G97xUSQS6HVA1. For the Galaxy S10 5G, the new update bears firmware version G977TUVS8GVA2. The update is currently available on T-Mobile's network in the US, but we expect more carriers to release the update within the next few days.
If you are a Galaxy S10 series smartphone user on T-Mobile's network, you might have already received the update's notification. If you haven't received it yet, you can check for it manually by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S10 series in early 2019 with Android 9 onboard. The smartphones received the Android 10 update in early 2020, the Android 11 update in early 2021, and the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update a few weeks ago.
