New deal brings Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+ prices down to FE levels

The Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra are the best tablets in Samsung's product portfolio, but they're not exactly cheap. However, if you don't mind buying a slightly older high-end tablet from Samsung, you can get the Galaxy Tab S8 or the Galaxy Tab S8+ a whole lot cheaper.

For a limited time, Samsung is slashing the Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8+ prices by $250 with no trade-in or other strings attached. With this deal, you can buy the Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab S8 or Galaxy Tab S8+ with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for as low as $449 or $649.

In contrast, the Galaxy Tab S9 costs $799, whereas the Galaxy Tab S9+ would set you back $999.

Out of the two Galaxy Tab S8 variants available now at a $250 discount, the Galaxy Tab S8+ might be worth considering more, mainly because the base Galaxy Tab S8 has an LCD, whereas the Tab S8+ and newer models have AMOLED.

On the other hand, if you're in the market for a budget tablet, the $449 Galaxy Tab S8 costs the same as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE did at launch. The Fan Edition tablet comes with 6GB of RAM, an Exynos 1380 chip, and other lower-specced features than the Tab S8. You are bound to get a better experience from using the Tab S8.

Story continues after the video…

Regardless of whether you pick the Tab S8 or Tab S8+, you get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which offers plenty of power even today, four speakers tuned by AKG, and the S Pen — albeit with a 6.2ms latency instead of 2.8ms, which newer S Pens boast.

The Galaxy Tab S8 series also lacks an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, but again, they are $350 cheaper than their 2023 sequels thanks to this discount, and that's not a price gap to sneeze at.

Hit the buy button below if you're looking for a relatively cheap tablet. If you would rather prefer a 2022 flagship model over a 2023 Fan Edition variant, this might be the deal for you.
