A few days ago, Samsung opened the One UI 6.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy A54. Now, it appears that the company has also opened the One UI 6.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy A34. This is probably the first time the company has released the One UI Beta Program for a Galaxy A3x mid-range smartphone.

Galaxy A34 gets One UI 6.0 beta update in the UK

The Galaxy A34 is reportedly getting the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 beta update in the UK with firmware version A346BXXU4ZWI1. It has a download size of over 2GB, so we advise downloading the update via a Wi-Fi network. In the coming weeks, Samsung may release the update in more countries, including China, Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea.

Samsung Galaxy A34 One UI 6 Beta Program Invite UK

Galaxy A34 5G users in the UK can register their devices to beta-test the One UI 6.0 Beta update. To do that, they must install the Samsung Members app on their Galaxy A34 5G, sign into the app using their Samsung account, and then click the One UI 6.0 Beta Program banner on the app's home page. Once their device is registered, they can check for the One UI 6.0 beta update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.

Remember, this is the beta version of Android 14-based One UI 6.0, so there might be a log of bugs, performance and reliability issues, and battery life issues. So, ensure you don't install this update on your Galaxy A34 5G if it is your primary device.

One UI 6.0 features and improvements

One UI 6 is based on Android 14, and it brings a revamped quick settings toggles area, a slightly improved design for notifications, and a different camera app UI. You can instantly access quick setting toggles by swiping down from the top right side of the screen, but this setting is optional. The media player widget in the notifications area has seen a drastic design change, featuring soundwave-like animations on the progress bar. Notifications can be sorted by time.

Improved lockscreen customization gives you the option to reposition the clock widget's placement. Samsung has removed the Samsung branding from the names of some apps. The company has also introduced a new and modern font with One UI 6.0. It has finally introduced more modern and sophisticated-looking emojis. When you share images or videos, their thumbnails appear in the Share Sheet. Additional sharing options may appear in the Share Sheet, depending on which app you're sharing from.

The Weather app has received a major revamp, featuring sophisticated iconography, text, and layout. It also brings information about snowfall, moon phases and times, atmospheric pressure, visibility distance, dew point, and wind direction. It also has an interactive map view and the new Weather Insights widget.

The Camera app's design has seen an improvement. Resolution settings are now easier to access. The camera app shows alignment assistance and quality optimization options. You can scan documents and apply effects more easily. The Auto FPS option for videos now works with both 30fps and 60fps videos.

One UI 6.0 lets you save cutouts from images as stickers and use them anywhere stickers are allowed. There is an enhanced view for Stores in the Gallery app. You can drag and drop files using two-hand gestures. This feature was introduced with the One UI 5.1.1 update, but it was only available to foldable phones. In the detail view for images and videos, you can make quick adjustments and edits. You can make unlimited edits and redo/undo them even after saving edited images. You can even draw on custom stickers. Samsung has introduced new text backgrounds and styles.

Samsung has added the ability to view reminders in the Calendar app. You can also view all your schedules at a glance in the Calendar app. The Reminders app has received a new design for its home screen. There are more reminder categories: No Alerts and Place. You can also create all-day reminders and have more sorting options for the reminders list view.

Samsung Internet brings the ability to play audio from the videos in the background. You can resize images and extract text from images that are pinned on the screen. Bixby Text Call has received multiple improvements, including a custom greeting and the ability to switch to Bixby Text Call in the middle of the call.

The Modes And Routines app lets you set a unique wallpaper and background, new conditions (when an app is playing media), and new actions (change lockscreen, Samsung Keyboard settings, and more). The Smart Suggestions widget has a new look and feel and more customization options. In Finder search, you can search for an app's quick actions or long-press an app's icon to access its quick actions.

The My Files app now clears the cache and unwanted files when the phone's storage is nearly full. One UI 6.0 learns your usage patterns and doesn't disable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when you turn on AirPlane mode. The Battery section now appears on the Settings app's main screen. One UI 6.0 also offers improved security by disabling unknown APK files from getting installed, checking for malware, and blocking malicious commands that are being sent by the USB cable.
