Last month, Samsung released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy A51's international variant. Now, the update is being rolled out to the carrier-locked and unlocked versions of the smartphone in the US.
The latest software update for the Galaxy A51's carrier-unlocked version comes with firmware version A515U1UEU7DVD4. For the carrier-locked version, the update comes with firmware version A515USQU7DVD3. The update brings the March 2022 security update as well to fix dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities.
For the unlocked version, the update is currently rolling out on Verizon's network in the US, and more carriers could release the update within the next few days. For the carrier-locked version, the update has been released on Comcast and Xfinity Mobile's network.
If you are a Galaxy A51 user in the US, you can soon download and install the Android 12 update. You can do that by navigating to Settings » Software update and clicking on Download and install. Alternatively, you can flash the firmware file manually after downloading the latest firmware from our database.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy A51 in early 2020 with Android 10 on board. The phone received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update in early 2021 and has now received the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update.
