Samsung has unleashed an avalanche of One UI 5.1 updates today, with the company's flagships from the last three years receiving the update simultaneously. The Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra are now getting One UI 5.1 as well, following the Galaxy S22 series and the Galaxy S21 series.

One UI 5.1 for the Galaxy S20 series is a welcome sight, as the S20 series was eligible for three years of major OS upgrades and received Android 13 and One UI 5.0, its third major OS upgrade, around three months ago. Now, Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra owners around the world will get some of the new features that debuted with One UI 5.1 on the Galaxy S23 series.

One UI 5.1 could be last big update for Galaxy S20 series

The One UI 5.1 update brings improvements and new functionality in a number of areas, including camera and gallery, multitasking, Samsung Internet, and more, all of which we cover in the video below.

The Galaxy S20 series' One UI 5.1 update is rolling out in some European markets at the time of this writing, but given Samsung's recent track record, we can expect the update to go live in many more countries over the next few days. The firmware version accompanying the update is G98xxXXUFHWAK.

To check if the One UI 5.1 update is available for your S20, S20+, or S20 Ultra, open the phone's Settings app, navigate to Software update, then tap the Download and install button. Alternatively, head to our firmware archive if you would like to upgrade your phone via a Windows PC; just be sure to download the update for your phone's model and your country to avoid any problems.
