Back then, the company had made the update available in few regions and in others, it hadn’t. One of them was India. Well, that’s changing today.
Samsung is rolling out a software update to the international variant of the Snapdragon-powered Galaxy S21 FE 5G in India, which has the model number SM-G990B2. It offers the September 2024 security patch to the smartphone, which fixes 67 security issues that were present in the previous firmware, making the phone safer than before. The changelog doesn’t say if it also offers new features, performance improvements, or bug fixes.

How to download and install software updates on Galaxy S21 FE
The new software update has Build Number G990B2XXS8GXI1. Your phone must have already notified you about it. If it hasn’t, you can go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We have made the new firmware file available in our database for you to download. Once you download it, use Odin on a Windows PC to install it on your phone. However, this way is less safer than the over-the-air (OTA) update method.
