Samsung has always used either its in-house Exynos chips or Qualcomm's Snapdragon chips in its high-end tablets. However, it might move to MediaTek's Dimensity chips next year with the launch of the Galaxy Tab S10.

Galaxy Tab S10+ appears with MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor

The US variant of the Galaxy Tab S10+ has appeared for the first time on Geekbench, bearing model number SM-X828U (carrier-locked version). As per its Geekbench entry, the high-end tablet uses the gts10p motherboard, which is associated with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor. It also features 12GB RAM and runs Android 14.

The Dimensity 9300+ is MediaTek's most recent flagship chipset, launched a few months ago. It is fabricated on TSMC's 4nm (N4P) process node. It features eight high-performance cores: 1x Cortex-X4 3.25GHz + 3x Cortex-X4 2.85GHz + 4x Cortex-A720 2GHz. It also features the ultra-powerful Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU. This chipset is as powerful as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in CPU and GPU performance. This chip has a powerful NPU and a 5G modem (compatible with mmWave and sub-6GHz networks).

If this listing is accurate, it would be the first time Samsung is going with a MediaTek processor in its flagship-grade tablet (or any mobile device). The Galaxy Tab S10 series consists of the Galaxy Tab S10, Galaxy Tab S10+, and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, and it will likely launch early next year alongside the Galaxy S25 series.

The story continues after our Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra review video below.

It isn't clear what other improvements the Galaxy Tab S10 would bring. However, it will likely launch with Android 15-based One UI 7 software. All the tablets in the lineup will likely feature a quad-speaker system, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, an in-display fingerprint reader, and a Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
