The international variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, which have model numbers SM-F721B and SM-F731B respectively, are getting a new software update. It brings the August 2024 security patch to these foldable devices which fixes 50 security issues. The version of the new firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is F721BXXS8FXG4, whereas, that for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is F731BXXS3CXGD.
At the moment, the update is live in many countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, including Afghanistan, India, Kenya, and Pakistan. If you live in these regions, your phone will automatically notify you about the latest update. If it doesn’t, you can check for the new firmware manually by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also get the new firmware from our database.
Other variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, including carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked versions of these phones for the United States, should get the update in the next few days.
