Samsung has started rolling out the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 stable update to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 today. The company had first released the One UI 3.0 beta update to registered Galaxy Z Fold 2 users in South Korea a couple of months ago.
The One UI 3.0 stable update has been released for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Germany. The new software update, which has firmware version F916BXXU1CTLL, brings Android 11 and the January 2021 security patch to the foldable device. Apart from Android 11 features like chat bubbles, a conversation section in the notifications area, one-time permissions, and a dedicated media playback widget, the new update also brings One UI 3.0 features such as refreshed UI design and improved stock apps to the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 2 user in Germany, you would have already received a notification for the update. If you haven't received the update yet, you can manually check for it by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also install it manually by downloading the new firmware from our firmware section.
We expect the update to roll out in other markets soon. Samsung's software update rollout speed has been impressive over the past year, and the company has already rolled out the One UI 3.0 update to most of its high-end phones.
