Galaxy Z Fold 5 One UI 6.1.1 internal testing has started
It has been revealed that Samsung has internally started testing the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. A firmware bearing firmware version F946BXXU2DXF1 was spotted on Samsung's server by tipster @tarunvats33. This is an internal firmware, and the company could test several versions of One UI 6.1.1 internally before releasing its beta version to regular users.
Samsung usually releases a new One UI x.1.1 update for its foldable phones and tablets in the third quarter of the year. These updates are restricted to devices with big or foldable screens.
The One UI 6.1.1 update will be based on Android 14 and could be released to eligible Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Z series devices after the official unveiling of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is expected to happen at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024, in Paris.
The South Korean firm is likely to open the One UI 6.1.1 Beta Program for eligible devices from the Galaxy Z series in China, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK, and the USA. The update could hit the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and then to older Galaxy Z devices over the next few days. Once the testing is complete, the stable update could be released to all users.
