Samsung introduced Generative wallpapers on its smartphones and tablets with One UI 6.1, a feature that can generate wallpapers according to your needs using AI.Summarize in one-click with Galaxy AI

This feature added a watermark in the form of a little blue-colored sparkle logo in the bottom-left corner of all the wallpapers it generated to indicate that they were created using AI, more specifically, Galaxy AI. Well, with One UI 6.1.1, Samsung is making that watermark bigger.

On Wednesday, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which bring a new version of the company’s software skin for its phones and tablets, One UI 6.1.1.

When you create wallpapers using the Generative feature in One UI 6.1.1, you will see a watermark on them that says “AI-generated content.” The new tagline appears beside the blue-colored sparkle logo that One UI 6.1 imprinted on Generative wallpapers.

Although the new watermark looks more prominent than the old one, it isn’t too intrusive. However, if you don’t want even that little bit of intrusion, unfortunately, there’s no way for you to remove it.

Images edited using Galaxy AI also get the new watermark

One UI 6.1.1 also brings two new features to Generative Edit. The first feature can “Transform pictures of people into various artistic styles.” The second feature lets you “Draw on an image, then use AI to make your drawing look like part of the picture.

When you edit images using any of these features, One UI 6.1.1 adds the new watermark to those edited images as well. That’s actually not a bad idea as it lets people know that this is not an entirely real image so that they can differentiate between what’s AI-generated and what isn’t. You can check out how it looks in our video below.

Soon, Samsung will roll out One UI 6.1.1 to older Galaxy smartphones and tablets. So, you will see the new watermark on wallpapers created using the Generative wallpapers feature or images edited using the Generative Edit features on those devices as well.
