Samsung switched from Tizen to Wear OS for the Galaxy Watch 4 and newer smartwatches. It was a huge change, and the first Galaxy Watch 4 is still being sold at heavily discounted prices. After launching two newer generation smartwatches, one might think that Samsung will retire the Galaxy Watch 4 series, but they could be wrong.

2024 versions of Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite could launch soon

It is being reported that Samsung will launch refreshed versions of the Galaxy Watch 4 sometime this year. In fact, it could be launched within the next few months, possibly before the launch of the Galaxy Watch 7, which is expected in August 2024. It could feature a faster Exynos processor. Samsung could also launch the refreshed version of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. This information comes from journalist Roland Quandt, who has an almost flawless track record. If the information about the new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite turns out to be true, it could be the third version of the famous affordable tablet from Samsung.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite was launched for the first time in 2020, and its refreshed version was launched in 2022 with a more powerful processor. Exactly two years after the launch of the second version of the tablet, Samsung could launch the third version, and it could also come with a newer and more powerful processor. The 2022 version of the tablet already features a big, high-resolution screen with thin bezels, an S Pen, AKG-tuned stereo speakers, a microSD card slot, Samsung DeX, a USB Type-C port, and LTE connectivity. So, the 2024 version of the tablet might not need to bring a lot of new things, as people might be content with most of the features that are already available on the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022).

Since even the Galaxy Tab A9+ has a high-refresh-rate screen, Samsung might add the same feature to the screen of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024). The upcoming tablet could also bring 5G connectivity and newer versions of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Knowing Samsung, the upcoming tablet could also run Android 14-based One UI 6.x out of the box and get three major Android OS updates.
