Top Samsung official visits company’s smartphone factory in India

Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman JH Han visited the company's factory in Noida, India, this week. This is his second visit to India this year, highlighting the country's importance in Samsung's global plans. The South Korean firm has been India's biggest electronics and smartphone brand for years.

Samsung announced today that its Vice Chairman and CEO and head of Samsung DX (Device Experience) visited its smartphone and home appliances factory in Noida, India. At this plant, Samsung manufactures millions of smartphones, tablets, laptops, and refrigerators. Due to the company's ecosystem of products developed over the past few years, sales of its home appliances have been increasing.

The official said the sales of high-capacity refrigerators have been growing in India, and one of its driving forces includes the ‘One Samsung' experience. So, the South Korean firm has been strengthening its lineup of high-end appliances that feature AI and Bespoke design language. Samsung India also has a home appliances factory in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu.

Samsung also has research and development bases in Noida and Bengaluru. JH Han praised the roles of those R&D facilities in developing new features and technologies that are used in its products in India and worldwide. He said the company is dedicated to the Indian government's ‘Make In India' program through local manufacturing and even exporting to other countries from India.

JH Han said, “India is one of the biggest and fastest-growing markets globally and offers a huge opportunity for Samsung. We were among the first companies to invest in India, and I am happy that the Noida factory has emerged as one of our biggest facilities, manufacturing not only for India, but for the world.
