The Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra are receiving a new update in some markets today. This update brings the March 2024 security patch to the trio and comes almost exactly a month after the February update was released for the lineup.

The March update comes with a firmware version that ends with the characters HXC1 and appears to be rolling out in some European countries, but you can expect a wider rollout in the coming days in both Europe and other regions. You can also expect the Galaxy S20 FE to receive a similar update in a few days.

Since the Galaxy S20 series is no longer eligible for OS or feature updates, the March update only enhances the devices' security. As with all security patches, the March patch includes fixes for vulnerabilities in both Android and One UI, with the latter getting a total of 9 fixes.

The latest firmware for the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra is available in our archives and can be installed using a Windows PC. However, it's recommended to first try downloading the update directly from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. It may take a few tries before the update shows up, even after it goes live in your country.
