Galaxy S25 Ultra model number reveal offers no surprises

While all eyes are on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 right now, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be on everyone's mind after the next Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung is expected to bring big changes with the Galaxy S25 series.

We have already heard some rumors regarding the Galaxy S25 lineup, and now, the Ultra model has made an appearance in an IMEI database managed by the folks over at Android Headlines.

Galaxy S25 Ultra model number revealed in IMEI database

The IMEI database has revealed thee model number for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and there are no surprises to be had: the Galaxy S25 Ultra carries the model number SM-S938U. The U here represents the model that will be sold by carriers in the USA; the model number for the international variant will likely have the letter B at the end.

The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will no doubt feature the model numbers SM-S931x and SM-S936x, with the x replaced by a U for carrier-locked US variants, U1 for unlocked variants, B for the international variants, N for Korea, and so on.

Except for the model number, there's nothing new to learn here. With the Galaxy S25 series at least six months away from launch, it will be a while before the rumors and leaks that ruin every official Galaxy smartphone announcement start coming in.
