Where to buy the PS5 disc drive and PS5 vertical stand: where to buy both PS5 Pro accessories
Lock down your PS5 Pro extras before your console arrives
If you're excited about the PS5 Pro, launching next week, and have perhaps bought a PS5 Pro you might be looking to buy a PS5 disc drive and a PS5 vertical stand so that you're fully prepared when the premium console arrives on your doorstep.
Remember to check in with our full PS5 Pro review which gives a detailed insight into what it's actually like to play with the console and live with it as your daily driver. I also go into detail about the specific graphical upgrade it offers.
To make your search easier, we're checking all the major retailers for stock and availability and providing the best and most direct links below as well as an overview of prices of both no matter where you are in the world at the bottom of this article.
Remember you'll need to buy at least the disc drive if you want to use physical games, as the Pro begins life as an all-digital console - a disc reader is not part of the PS5 Pro specs by default.
We are still keeping track of DualSense 30th Anniversary Edition pre-orders and stock as well as any lingering hope of PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection pre-orders and stock and PS5 Slim 30th Anniversary Edition pre-orders and stock reappearing. We also have pages on where to buy the Fortnite Limited Edition DualSense and where to buy the PS5 Chroma collection if you're looking for even more accessories.
With all that out of the way, read below for the latest stock updates on both the PS5 disc drive and vertical stand.

Where to buy a PS5 Pro disc drive and vertical stand: FAQs
Why do I need to buy a disc drive for the PS5 Pro?
In short, you'll need to buy a PS5 disc drive and vertical stand separately to go with a PS5 Pro as the enhanced console does not - I repeat, does not - come with a disc drive by default. We find this disappointing as it raises the price even further of the premium machine - plus it's seen the disc drive in particular seems to go out of stock everywhere.
Will a disc drive and vertical stand be worth it for PS5 Pro?
Adding either or both of these to any future PS5 Pro purchase or setup will come down to your own personal preferences. If you have a burgeoning PS5 and PS4 physical game library then you'll absolutely need a disc drive to ensure you can play these games on the Pro. The vertical stand is less vital - you can still use it horizontally - but if you have a setup where you want the PS5 Pro to be stood up, then you'll have to buy that too.
