Vodafone has great deals on SIM-only contracts and pay-as-you-go SIM plans, which can be an excellent choice if you want a more flexible contract. Vodafone also uses the 5G network, and offers it with any type of deal, for a faster or more reliable internet connection.

Benefit from up to four extras every month with a Vodafone SIM-only Xtra plan. You get to choose between two and four extras, and you pay only for the extra service on top of your pay-monthly SIM plan. Xtra benefits include:

Only available through selected affiliate networks, Vodafone also offers a cheaper range known as ‘Vodafone Basics’. These plans have great value data from just £7 a month, as well as running on the 4G network available in more than 99% of the UK. Like other Vodafone plans, you can manage your account on the My Vodafone App to check your usage and bills. This plan also includes the VeryMe rewards that offer weekly discounts and giveaways and is available to all Vodafone Pay monthly customers.
You can upgrade from your Basics plan once your 12-month contract ends, or swap out for another SIM card at any time. For features not included in the Basics plan, you can simply purchase a SIM-only plan with more options for when you need it.
Be aware International calls are not included in the Basics plan, as well as OneNumber connectivity which allows you to share your phones data with other devices. You won’t be able to upgrade during your plan or make any Premium calls either. Limited extras are available, including Data, 08 number minutes, and Roaming passes for Europe Zone.
Included in these plans are UK data, minutes and texts and the option to use your plan abroad in selected countries. Roam abroad free of charge in Zone A (Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Iceland and Norway) or in Europe Zone B for a small fee of £2.42 per day. For destinations further abroad this will be Zone D and will cost £7.39 a day. You can purchase a Roaming pass to reduce these costs.

Vodafone offers 4G coverage across the UK, so you shouldn’t have issues connecting to the Vodafone 4G network in your area. And 4G is the standard network connection offered by Vodafone, offering an average download speed of 27.9Mbps and average upload speed of 19.69Mbps.

Stay in control of how much you spend outside your monthly mobile bill by setting a limit on charges. Having the ability to go over your monthly allowance means you’ll still be able to call, text and use the internet even if you reached the limit of your airtime plan for the month.
Set your Spend Manager to anywhere between £0 and £100 a month and you won’t be charged unless you go over it. Enabling your Spend Manager is extremely useful if you want to ensure you never go without data. Vodafone will also notify you when you reach your spend limit and will disable all chargeable functions.
If you prefer to be on the safe side and avoid any extra charges, set it to £0. To add, remove or modify your Spend Manager, just use the My Vodafone app.
Rewards customers who refer a friend to a pay-monthly deal by giving both you and your friend a £25 Amazon voucher. To qualify for the voucher, you’ll need to request a link on the Vodafone website and send it to your friend. Your friend can use the link to sign up to a pay-monthly deal online and, once the purchase is finalised, you will both be rewarded.

Most of Vodafone’s phones are unlocked, including iPhones. This means you can easily switch providers and insert another network’s SIM card. Once your existing plan ends, your airtime plan will auto-renew unless you decide to cancel, upgrade or switch provider, but you’ll no longer be charged for the phone as it will have been paid off.
