What to do when a voucher code doesn’t work

Troubleshooting steps
- Case-sensitive codes: many promo codes use a variety of upper or lowercase letters and special characters which need to be typed correctly. To avoid entering any incorrect characters, we advise copying and pasting the code instead of manually typing.
- Voucher terms and conditions: ensure the items in your basket are eligible for the promotion by reading the terms and conditions. Click the ‘further details’ tab on the voucher to expand the box and check for exclusions, such as minimum order value, sale items or specific departments.
- Expiry dates: discount codes and flash sales are active for a limited period. Always check the expiry date and time.
- New customer offers: if you are redeeming a new customer discount, it’s important to ensure that your email address has not been used before.
- App-exclusives: some brands share app-only offers and codes which will not work on mobile or desktop browsers.
- Technical faults: If you have checked all the above steps and your code is still not working, it may be a technical issue on the retailer’s site. Contact their customer service team directly for further advice.
