Women have shaped every aspect of Texas history since prehistory to the present. Texas women have and continue to have an important role in the development, growth of the state and the country writ large. Today, they are major contributors propelling Texas leadership in many fields within Texas and outside from politics, to science, to business and economic advancement, to local, state, and federal governments and much more. Texas women Black, Mexican, Native American, Anglo, European, Asian and from many other races, backgrounds, and classes are forces changing the world.
